We are currently looking for a Project Buyer to join one of Procurement People’s clients based in Cambridgeshire for a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be instrumental leading the companies procurement practises across FM and Estates projects.
 
Role: Project Buyer
Type: 12 months fixed contract 
Travel: No travel required
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £38,000 plus benefits
 
Day to day responsibilities 

  • Manage Facilities Management and Estates suppliers and advice internal stakeholders on commercial projects
  • Accountable for delivery of commercial/procurement work flow/RFx within projects
  • Identify key improvements with all processes across FM & Estates categories
  • Negotiate existing and future contracts for selected categories
  • Create strong relationships with internal stakeholders across management and operations to ensure good communication and timely project delivery
  • Accountable for identifying commercial risk for projects and tasks.
Must have’s 
  • A strong FM & Estates background is highly beneficial
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills
  • Strong supplier relationship & influencing skills
  • Commercially astute and a strong understanding of contracts – NEC4 contracts exposure would be highly beneficial but not essential
