Interim Procurement Manager - IT

Birmingham (remote initially, some flexibility long term)
£500 / £550 per day (inside IR35)
We are seeking a Procurement Manager on an interim basis until February 2022 with potential for extension or a permanent contract beyond this. The role will see you working across IT categories handling multiple projects to include hardware, software, networks and security.
You will be joining an indirect corporate procurement team, part of a wider procurement function serving the delivery of a large government project. You will be working through end-to-end procurement processes to include sourcing from government or CCS frameworks utilising tools such as RFI and ITT, contract negotiations and award before handing over to operational teams. Projects will include a combination of direct contract awards to framework providers and running procurement competitions where appropriate, again, across approved framework providers. The role will require excellent stakeholder skills and an ability to clearly understand and define stakeholder needs allowing you to deliver effective solutions through procurement projects.
Due to the nature of the role and organisation it is essential applicants have prior experience of public sector, CCS frameworks (Crown Commercial Services) and OJUE procurement processes.
• Proven working knowledge and experience of digital or IT categories across a combination of software and hardware.
• Proven experience of delivering strategic sourcing projects across CCS, public sector frameworks.
• A relevant degree and / or CIPS training would be an advantage.
