Procurement Buyer
East Riding / East Yorkshire
Package - £35 to £40k (Negotiable DOE)

We are seeking a Procurement Buyer for an industrial, engineering, East Riding based business to join a small existing team across procurement and finance. This is a great opportunity to join a multinational business that truly looks after the wellbeing and professional development of all employees. The environment is an industrial, engineering driven site and in this case we are seeking applicants to support the site and all internal stakeholders in the procurement of maintenance (MRO) and operational items (valves, pumps, electrical/electronic components and similar) through to technical and commercial service providers.

We are seeking applicants with proven experience of procurement sourcing, running tender processes, negotiating supplier contracts and ongoing management of suppliers post contract award with a focus on delivering value from agreements across cost savings, quality and service.

As a small team, this is a role that will require a flexible attitude to supporting the wider department with all areas of procurement administration. As part of a procurement / finance team you would be expected to support with finance administration when needed however full training would be available in this area.

The ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience of supplier sourcing across direct and indirect spend.
• Proven experience and knowledge of supplier contracts with an ability and experience in negotiating against them.
• Experience of procurement / Buying in an industrial or engineered environment is highly desirable.
• CIPS qualification.
