Procurement Specialist

Up to £33,500 per annum
Birmingham, West Midlands

Do you have a wealth of expertise on public sector frameworks? Would you like to deliver best in class procurement advice on behalf of one of the largest public procurement organisations in the UK?

As a Procurement Specialist it is all about demonstrating best value for money for your client. Working alongside a team of Commercial and Customer Service specialists you will be delivering day to day procurement services and advice as well as running from start to finish the delivery of allocated procurement projects. Customer relationship management is critical to ensure ongoing success as is the ability to think commercially. You will have a commercial mindset, but with a great understanding of public sector procurement frameworks.

You will be responsible for;

Provide support when translating customer commercial requirements
Own the modelling of procurement evaluation plans
Offer unrivalled customer service to internal and external customers
Mitigate risk using foresight and judgement to identify issues
Preserve full audit trails on actions relating to individual procurements
Monitor and diagnose opportunities for continuous improvement across the procurement processes
Manage, coach and mentor a team of Advisors


You will have;

A confident and outgoing personality, and the ability to not only manage contracts and accounts, but to build and develop relationships
Degree and CIPS qualified is desirable
Public sector experience is desirable
Man-management experience is desirable
A good understanding of OJEU regulations
