We are now looking to add to the procurement function, a great opportunity to join the company community in a role that will see you supporting all procurement related activities within a finance and purchasing team.
The role will see you joining a small team and applying your procurement skills across the full procurement cycle from delivering sourcing projects, running procurement competitions and negotiating supplier contracts through to ongoing supplier performance and relationship management. The nature of the supply chain is technical by nature to include maintenance and operational items through to technical and commercial service providers. You will predominantly be working with and supporting stakeholders across site projects teams, maintenance, quality / safety and site leadership. To this end we are ideally seeking applicants with a broad base of technical or engineering commodity and service experience through your procurement career to date supporting highly engineered industrial environments.
We did say it’s a small team, the role will require for you to support in all areas of the function. We will need a flexible approach and applicants that want to join and support the family in all areas of scope. You will be part of the business services and finance function and will ideally be supporting across broader Accounting duties, such as invoicing processing, month end and year-end activities, reconciliation of accounts, procurement and contract administration. You will however be given free rein to apply your procurement skills, self-identify areas across procurement and supply where you can add value and then deliver achieving results across value for money, quality and achieving cost savings.
In return for your hard work and flexibility you will be rewarded with base salary and additional payments of up to 10%, excellent pension with employer contributions of up to 10% (dependent upon your contributions), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private health care cover, life assurance, fully expensed mobile phone and a commitment to sponsoring CIPS study costs.
The Ideal Applicant
• Level 4 CIPS or above
• 5 years of experience in a procurement based role
• AAT qualification and / or experience of finance activities such as invoice processing, year
and month end accounts and accounts reconciliation would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience of industrial environments
