Senior Buyer – Permanent, based in Nottinghamshire, paying a competitive salary, plus a company car and other great benefits.
Procurement People are delighted to be working alongside a highly reputable and market leading construction firm, to assist them in finding a new Senior Buyer, who will join their head office team in Newark on an permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity to join a company that are both innovative and growing. The post-holder will form an integral part of the purchasing function with both strategic and operational objectives.
• Liaise with contract and site managers to ensure that all material and logistical support is provided correctly
• Ensure that site materials are managed and delivered to site in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure materials are bought at the most competitive price
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure KPI targets are met
Required knowledge, skills and experience:
• Experience within a purchasing role
• Exposure to the building / construction industry
• Proven record of controlling and reducing external spend
• Strong ‘hands on’ approach to all tasks and an ability to achieve results
