How often can you say everything we do as a business is all about bringing the fun? Well in this case that is what it is all about! We are looking to appoint a Head of Procurement with a Circa £80m turn over business which dedicates its existence to creating fantastic memories for families across the globe.

The purpose of the role is to deliver an effective procurement function in what will be a very hands on position. The business will be looking to you for the delivery of an effective vendor based across Europe, Asia & the Middle East and the USA, collaborating with operational teams in each area. You will be expected to deliver the best possible value is all goods and services procured, ensure on time delivery, the highest possible levels of quality while delivering on annual cost saving targets.

The role will see you managing one Senor Buyer and you will also receive support from others across the business. The spend in scope does cover both direct and indirect spend however direct cost of capital forms the bulk of spend up to around £25m annually. This is very much a hands on role in which you will a self-starter, able to work independently and communicate effectively. You will develop the strategy and plan projects to deliver the strategy. This will be followed by the execution and delivery so we need someone able to conduct sourcing, benchmarking, negotiations and contract award through effective procurement processes and systems.

The business is aligned to the retail sector in its operations and at peak annually employs up to 2500 people. The company growth rate is in the region of 20% year on year and you will play a key role in delivering and maintaining the growth through the development and management of an effective procurement function ensuring best practice through the development of policies, processes and systems.

What you will need:

Ideally MCIPS or working towards

Proven experience of managing others

Ideally 10 years plus experience of working in a formal procurement role

Proven experience of working through proactive procurement processes

Fantastic communication skills

An ability to procure and also contract manage
