Supply Chain Analyst - System Specialist

London (Hammersmith)

Temporary leading to a permanent opportunity

Equivalent rates to £34k/£35k per year.



We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Analyst to work with our client, a logistics and distribution operation based in Hammersmith. The site is part of a global business that is in the process of unprecedented change making this a great to join them and play a key role in forging the companies future operating processes. The model of the operation is based upon international manufacturing sites shipping goods for retail to the Hammersmith depot in which the warehouse and logistics operation is delivered by an outsourced logistics service provider (LSP). You will be employed by the end customer company with a focus on managing the delivery of services from the LSP through data, systems and communication.



The purpose of the role:



You will support the Supply Chain team in achieving seamless supply and fulfilment for the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands for both Conventional and Reduced Risk Products (RRP). Ensure system information accuracy is maintained across all PML and 3rd Logistics Service Provider through daily stock reconciliation and investigations. Assist in the co-ordination of the activities to ensure data quality, accurate SAP Master Data for materials, structuring and modifications and system communication processes.



The LSP warehouse management system is integrated with SAP and you will need to ensure all stock figures match giving consideration to product returns and international shipping. Your work will include daily calls, weekly and quarterly meetings with LSP representatives to discuss data, inventory discrepancies and service levels with the support of the Supply Chain Supervisor.



Master Data Management:



Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information required for accurate item master set-up . Create item master records in SAP. Review and approve item master records entered by finance and project leaders. Integrate PML Master data in LSP Master data. Perform identified revisions to item masters as required. Collaborate with Finance and Project leader, digital for UAT. Run exception reports and initiate data clean-up opportunities. Support project timelines by developing and continually improving the item master process . Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) in SAP setting.



Additional duties:



The business is going through a period of change, the future is very exciting. This does mean that many things are currently being developed and defined and we would like you to contribute to this. As Supply Chain Analyst you will contribute to defining new systems requirements and standard operating procedures in the department (SOP's). This is a great opportunity to get involved with continuous improvement initiatives within the function.



What you will need:



To be successful in this role you will need to be proficient is SAP based systems with regard to inventory and master data.

The ideal candid ate will have delivered similar duties in a logistics/warehouse based environment.

Experienced of liaising and coordinating with a on site LSP would be a distinct advantage.

You will be a fantastic communicator.

You will be up for a challenge and cope well with changing systems and processes.

You will enjoy contributing to the development of systems and processes, ideally with prior experience of similar duties.



We are able to offer excellent flexible working patterns. You will be contracted to 8 hours per day but the only rules are you must be on site by 09:30 daily and complete your hours so if you need a 2 hour lunch that's fine, just finish later. Once per month we carry out month end activities and we will need you to work a little later for this but would be happy for you to start later over the couple of days this is done.



We intend to employ in this position permanently but we need someone quickly, for this reason we will engage you on a contract basis in the short term and following a successful completion of an initial contract period a permanent contract will be offered to the right candidate.
