📍 Location: Merseyside
💷 Pay Rate: £34 per hour
🕒 Full-Time (36 hours) | 🏡 Hybrid Working Available

Are you an experienced Social Worker who thrives on making a real difference in the lives of children and families? We’re looking for confident, skilled practitioners to join both the Assessment & Intervention and Permanence Teams within a progressive North West local authority.
These frontline roles involve direct work with children and families, safeguarding, risk assessments, and long-term care planning — all with the goal of delivering stability, safety and brighter futures.

🔍 About the Roles:
Assessment & Intervention Team:

Conduct timely assessments under Section 17 and Section 47
Respond to referrals, identify risk and determine the appropriate level of intervention
Work in a fast-paced team focused on early help, de-escalation, and safeguarding

Permanence Team:

Support children with long-term care plans
Deliver consistent support to children in care and those transitioning to permanency
Build trusted relationships with families, carers, and professionals to achieve the best outcomes

Both teams offer:

Manageable caseloads

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
4+ years' post-qualified experience, ideally in safeguarding, permanence or frontline roles
Deep understanding of child protection legislation and care planning frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication, including court work
Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
Creative, resilient, and outcome-driven approach
