👶 About the Role
As a key member of the Locality Team, you’ll carry a varied caseload involving:

• Child in Need
• Child Protection
• Court work
• Planning for permanence

You’ll build meaningful relationships with children and families, deliver impactful interventions, and collaborate with partner agencies (e.g. health, police, education) to achieve sustainable, positive outcomes.
You’ll also contribute to long-term planning from day one, ensuring every child’s safety and wellbeing remain at the centre of everything you do.

👤 What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident, compassionate, and capable practitioner who can hit the ground running. You’ll be:
✅ Registered with Social Work England
✅ 4+ years qualified, with proven experience in statutory children’s services
✅ Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and care proceedings
✅ Collaborative, with strong multi-agency working skills
✅ Excellent at building trust and rapport with children and families
✅ Committed to continuous improvement and best practice

• Manage a diverse and manageable caseload
• Carry out risk assessments and create tailored care plans
• Work with children and families from assessment through to court
• Support and guide unqualified staff and students
• Promote child-centred, dignified, and empowering practice
