The Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside class teachers to provide targeted support to pupils in a primary school setting. You will lead small intervention groups, offer one-to-one assistance, and help deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects. Your role will also involve preparing resources, monitoring progress, and promoting a positive learning environment.
 
The Candidate:
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a genuine interest in working with children. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to motivate young learners are essential. Any previous experience in a school or working with children will enhance your application.
 
Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – A genuine interest in supporting pupils and developing a career in education.
  • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
