Primary SEND Teacher – Special School – East Birmingham
Are you a passionate Primary Teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? This welcoming and well-resourced special school in East Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a QTS Primary Teacher with SEND experience or a Primary Teacher looking to transition into a rewarding SEND setting.

As a Primary SEND Teacher, you will teach small classes of pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and communication challenges. You will have the support of experienced Teaching Assistants, a strong leadership team, and access to excellent resources to help every pupil reach their full potential.

Job Role:

• Teaching and inspiring primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs
• Planning creative and differentiated lessons that promote engagement and progress
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants to provide individualised support for pupils
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals
• Creating a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported
• Contributing to wider school life and supporting the delivery of EHCP targets

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – primary trained
• Experience working with pupils with SEND, or a strong desire to move into special education
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient, and flexible approach to teaching and learning
• Commitment to ensuring every child achieves their best
