Children’s Social Worker, Independent Reviewing Officer, Stockport 
Pay rate £40 per hour 
Contract role, IRO 
 
We are recruiting for experienced Children’s Social Worker in the Stockport area. 
This to work as an IRO. 

• The role is initially for 4 months to cover sickness absence. It is working 30 hours over 4 days per week with flexibility in start and finish times and flexible working/use of TOIL.  

• The role is primarily as an Independent Reviewing Officer to review plans for cared for children and pathway plans of care leavers.  

• Some members of the team also chair CP conferences and while this is not expected in the role, there may be occasions when the post-holder is asked to undertake this work to support the service.
