Pay: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Pertemps Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive and forward-thinking SEND school in the Bexleyheath area. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and personal growth.
The Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
• Support students in developing confidence, self-esteem, and coping strategies.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioural challenges (school or alternative provision setting).
• A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to managing behaviour.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
