Automotive Production Operative
£13.87 per hour – 40 hours per week
Dagenham, East London

We’re looking for a hands-on Production Operative to join our client in Dagenham. You’ll be fitting new parts to vehicles — such as bumpers, seats, steering wheels, wheels, suspension, and other interior/exterior components. You will not be working on engines.
You’ll follow clear instructions (SOPs), use a variety of hand and power tools, and make sure all work meets high-quality and safety standards.

Shift Pattern

• Rotating shifts:
  
  • 6am–2pm (Monday–Friday)
  • 2pm–12am (midnight) (Monday–Thursday only – Fridays off)

What You’ll Do

• Fit, assemble, and install vehicle parts following set instructions.
• Use tools such as impact drivers, torque wrenches, and vehicle ramps.
• Maintain strong quality standards from start to finish.
• Follow all Health & Safety rules and wear the correct PPE.
• Identify issues early, suggest improvements, and support the team in preventing recurrence.

What You Need

• Full driving licence (Plus)
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions (SOPs)
• Strong communication skills
• Positive, proactive attitude
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks

Desirable Experience

• Automotive or production environment experience
• Confident using air and hand tools (torque wrench, sanders, etc.)
• Upholstery experience
