Product Owner
Location: Kettering (NN16)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Owner to join a growing Digital Software team. This role is instrumental in shaping and delivering business-critical applications, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure products meet the needs of users and stakeholders.

About the Role As Product Owner, you will lead the direction, development, and optimisation of key digital applications. You’ll collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality business analysis throughout the full application lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with organisational goals. Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities
• Build strong working relationships across the organisation, supporting digital initiatives and ensuring a consistent approach to product delivery.
• Act as Product Owner for core applications—owning the vision, roadmap, and functionality while gathering requirements from key stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with users and customers, ensuring a digital-first, customer-focused experience.
• Produce Business Requirements and Specifications, conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, and document outcomes.
• Develop a thorough understanding of business functions, existing systems, and operational processes to support improvements and future design.
• Document as-is and to-be processes, preparing proposals for review within project cycles.
• Present proposals and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Produce Feasibility Studies and gap analyses to support informed decision-making.
• Compare solution designs against requirements and identify priority gaps.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), preparing plans and supporting users through test execution.
• Assist with user training, preparing materials and supporting the rollout and adoption of new systems.
• Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure effective and timely delivery using established tools and methodologies.

About You — Essential Skills & Experience • Strong knowledge of current and emerging analytical techniques
• Several years’ experience in business change, analysis, or similar roles in a commercial environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Logical, analytical, and structured approach to problem-solving
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio
• Experience with digital solutions, cloud technologies, web platforms, CMS, and API integrations
• Relevant Business Analysis qualifications/modules (e.g., BA Diploma)

Desirable • PRINCE2 project management experience
• Agile/SCRUM experience
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud technologies
