Job Description
As a Salesforce Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for analysing business processes, designing and optimising Salesforce solutions, and implementing Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL) to enhance customer service and workforce management.
Your role will be instrumental in delivering digital transformation projects, optimising customer service, and ensuring the seamless integration of Salesforce applications.

Base location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court, Reading.
Working pattern – Monday to Friday, 36 hours.

What you’ll be doing as a Salesforce Functional Consultant
- Work closely with Product Owners and Business Process Owners to align business processes with Salesforce capabilities, focusing on Service Cloud, FSL, and Workforce Management.
- Configure and optimise Salesforce modules, ensuring alignment with best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enhance Salesforce Field Service (SFS), optimising scheduling, dispatching, and mobile workforce solutions.
- Support the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise applications, ensuring data accuracy and efficient workflows.
- Provide support for production incidents, troubleshooting, and ensuring timely resolutions while following structured release management processes.
- Provide training and documentation to upskill business users on Salesforce capabilities and best practices.
- Conduct and support testing activities, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to validate configurations and customisations.

What you should bring to the role
Essential
- Extensive experience in full Salesforce implementation lifecycles.
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into functional Salesforce configurations.
- Expertise in Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (SFS).
- Experience with Salesforce declarative automation tools, including Process Builder and Validation Rules.
- Knowledge of workforce scheduling and optimisation principles.
- Familiarity with Salesforce security models, data management, and reporting tools.
- Experience with Salesforce testing, deployment, and release management processes.
- Salesforce Certified Consultant in relevant modules. (e.g., Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning)
- Experience in Salesforce Optimiser for system performance analysis.
- Good understanding of mobile workforce enablement and real-time dispatching.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce AppExchange solutions for extended functionality.
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping and omnichannel engagement strategies.
