Job Description

“Only Accountants can save the world through peace, goodwill and reconciliations.”

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a forward-looking and proactive firm of accountants based in Surrey, as they look to welcome an Audit Semi Senior into their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a practice that prides itself on its friendly, inclusive culture and modern approach to accountancy.

You'll be joining a small and supportive audit team where your efforts will be recognised, your development will be encouraged, and your work-life balance truly respected.

About the Firm:
This is a practice that genuinely cares about its people. You’ll be made to feel part of the team from day one, with a strong focus on training, support, and progression. The firm champions a culture where staff are encouraged to grow professionally, contribute ideas, and be heard.

Your responsibilities as the Audit Semi Senior will include:
  • Work as part of the audit team, reporting directly to the Audit Specialist.
  • Take responsibility for specific sections of the audit file, liaising with colleagues working on other sections.
  • Gain hands-on experience across all areas of the audit process, including planning and completion.
  • Project manage smaller audits, particularly when audits run concurrently.
  • Play a key role in the onboarding and audit of new clients as the firm continues to grow.
  • Assist with interim work, audit planning and other client projects during quieter audit periods.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes and client delivery.

To be considered for the role of Audit Semi Senior, you will require:
  • 2 years audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (essential).
  • Part-qualified ACA/ACCA and studying towards qualification.
  • Proactive and organised, with a genuine desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience in Excel and Xero.

What’s on Offer:
  • A friendly, caring, and inclusive working environment.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Genuine work-life balance with flexible working.
  • Supportive training and development opportunities.
  • Recognition and reward for your contribution.
  • Career progression within a growing audit function.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of audit assignments and client sectors.

If you're looking to progress your audit career within a forward-thinking and people-focused firm, this could be the perfect role for you.

To apply, please submit your CV or contact Sheridan Maine for more information.

You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
