Job Description

Role: Senior Business Analyst
Project: Data/Reporting Transformation
Location: Birmingham (Flexible Hybrid – 2 Days In-Office Weekly)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Network IT are supporting our clients major transformation programme, focused on modernising reporting capabilities and replacing legacy tools with Microsoft Power BI. As part of this initiative, we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead a critical workstream addressing complex “edge case” reporting requirements and shaping future processes.
Job Overview
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in defining and delivering solutions that enable accurate, efficient, and scalable reporting across the organisation. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate options, and design processes that align with strategic objectives while ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • Own requirements engineering for the reporting workstream, from analysis and documentation to management.
  • Discover and categorise edge cases, assessing volume, frequency, and organisational criticality.
  • Map current (As-Is) processes and design future (To-Be) processes aligned with programme goals.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions within the existing application portfolio or propose new options where necessary.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure solutions meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement throughout the programme.
Experience Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
  • A solid foundation in Business Analysis principles, methods, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience delivering data and reporting projects, ideally involving migration from legacy platforms to modern solutions.
  • A creative, solution-focused mindset with a track record in process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of current approaches to managing and leveraging business information.
  • Familiarity with M365 tools and previous exposure to legacy reporting systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities in complex environments.
  • Awareness of user experience considerations and a commitment to driving innovation.
