7.5T Driver

Pertemps are seeking a dedicated and responsible 7.5-ton Driver to join our client in Edinburgh. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents and visitors by supporting cleansing services across the area. 

 
Location: Edinburgh City Centre 

Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06.00-17.02 with 45min break 

Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour rising to £15.68 as of week 13

Key Responsibilities: 

Safely operate 7.5-ton vehicles as part of the street cleansing service. 

Adhere to designated routes and schedules to ensure timely completion of collections. 

Perform vehicle checks, report any faults or maintenance needs, and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle. 

Assist the cleansing crew with loading, unloading, and managing waste when necessary. 

Engage courteously with the public when required, representing the department in a professional manner. 

Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures to maintain high standards of service. 

 
What We're Looking For: 

Valid UK driving license with C1 category (7.5-ton vehicle) along with valid CPC qualification card and Tacho card.  

Previous experience in driving large vehicles 

A good understanding of health and safety practices relevant to vehicle operation. 

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. 

Physical fitness – the role requires manual handling and assisting with lifting and moving heavy objects
