Electrical Engineer

The client is an established and successful manufacturer of FMCG products supplying to multiple sectors globally. They are seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join their friendly, modern production facility in Redditch.

Salary - Negotiable

Hours of work are typically 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday OR 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
The main responsibility of the Electrical Engineer is delivering fault diagnosing and maintenance support for the plant site. Supporting continuous improvement within the business.

Responsibilities and duties are as follows;

• Diagnostic, repair and maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities on site.
• Carry out electrical maintenance, both planned, preventative and unscheduled.
• Carry out electrical installations within the business.
• Identify and follow up on continuous improvement of machinery, investigation of root cause, reliability and wastage.
• To provide electrical training for maintenance colleagues.
• Work to PM schedules and document results.
• Involved with automation projects throughout the facility.

 

• Electrical aptitude, hold a 17th edition or 18th edition cert.Experience and qualifications for the role are as follows;
• Plant maintenance experience, working in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Some mechanical aptitude.
• PLC expertise, fault finding and interrogation level.
• Panel building experience.
• Happy to mentor where required.
• Good team player and a "can do" attitude.

The company are based in Redditch so would be commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Droitwich, Solihull, Alcester, Stratford upon Avon, Dudley, Kidderminster.
