Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Temporary – Goods-In Operator)
Location: EH12 - Edinburgh
Pay Rate: £25,126 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: 21st August
Contract Duration: 12 working days - possible extension

Main Duties:

Receive, record, unpack and sort materials on arrival into the operating area.
Stock management and rotation of materials to ensure that the appropriate materials are available for processing by operators.
Identify, separate and retain goods inwards notices and addresses to aid operators
Record deliveries in a central log to monitor levels of materials and identify potential shortfall in receipt levels.
Support the administration function by separation of letters and delivery notes to update claim, receipt and supplier data.

Essential Skills:

Able to identify and separate materials at the point of receipt, based on agreed material category types and requirements
Ability to interpret and make accurate decisions on retention of supporting information for goods received
Ability to work on routine tasks with minimum supervision
Demonstrate an ability to apply problem-solving and interpretation processes in the completion of daily allocated duties
