Job Description

Pertemps are working in partnership with DHL Logistics and have an exciting opportunity for HGV/LGV Class C+E Drivers on all shift patterns Days/Afters/Night shifts. This would be to work out of a National Food Distribution Centre situated in Bradford (M606) West Yorkshire.  This is Working on behalf of our client who specialise in the food logistics industry and are global leaders in this field.  Drivers will transport fresh & ambient products to M&S RETAIL STORES on Some occasions it may be a trunk to another distribution centre.

In return the HGV/LGV C+E Drivers salary:

  • Monday to Sunday  Day rates- £18.57ph & £27.85pm after 8hrs

     

  • Monday to Sunday Night rates- £20.01ph & £30.01ph after 8hrs 

     
    All Drivers pay rates are based on PAYE, we do not accept LTD or Umbrella companies.

Duties will include:

  • Must be able to work a Saturday or Sunday

  • Paid Breaks & Overtime after 8hrs 

  • Store Deliveries to M&S Retail stores

  • Cage Work is Involved 

  • Tail Lift Deliveries

  • Tight reversing on to bays

  • Opening back doors 

  • Can do Attitude & Good Customer Service

  • Well presented

  • Good English Literature reading & speaking

  • A safety-first approach to driving and ensuring loads are safely secured.

  • Completing daily delivery paperwork and log sheets. 

  • Start times Vary depending on your shift preference 

 *** You must be able to pass a 2-day DHL Driving assessment, which entails a Multiple-choice test question paper & full successful drive***

 Drivers Skills and experience:

  • Hold an LGV/HGV C+E licence with a minimum of 6 months driving experience.

  • A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DD’s, DR’s or IN10s.

  • Possession of an OPS35 (DHL) assessment is desirable and would be advantageous. BUT not essential. 

  • Must have good Reversing Experience 

 
Holiday Payments 

On top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week, Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher. You are enrolled into an optional Pension scheme that can be opted out
