There was plenty to see and hear about the fast-changing world of procurement and supply chain at this year’s eWorld in London. Spend Control, eProcurement, creating responsible supply chains and finding top procurement talent were some of the key themes that underpinned much of the workshop content and the general buzz and talk in around the conference.
In the past, Procurement People (PP) has attended as delegates, but as the leading recruiter in the procurement, purchasing and supply chain sector we decided it was high time we had to be in the thick of it too!
It was a great decision; we were in great e-world exhibitor company and we made new friends and contacts.
Tony Goldsby, MD, Procurement People said: “We met a great group of procurement experts and really enjoyed the range of conversations about recruitment and talent management in the UK and global recruitment sector. The procurement discipline is fast changing rapidly from tactical delivery to a strategically important job function. Changing skill sets and the rise of the specialist interim with deep procurement and supply chain knowledge remains an ever important recruitment requirement. “
And if you have the time, there are also a handful of great reports following up the event – this one from Spend Matters caught our eye. And, don’t forget e-World Procurement and Supply is a Bi-annual event so we will be there again in September 2016!
