Calling all Freelance & Interim Procurement Professionals!

Hawtrey Dene Group is a rapidly growing management consultancy specialising in procurement and cost reduction, with clients across the private and public sector. In early 2015 they will be hosting a ‘Meet Hawtrey Dene’ evening in central London to give freelance and contract procurement professionals the chance to come and get to know the team and find out why working with them would be a little different (in a good way!).

As their business and team has grown in the past 18 months, they have decided that to service future clients they will move to a new model combining the best of our FTE team and external specialists and contract associates.

They would like to build a relationship with a pool of people who they can get to know and can contact when they have suitable roles. They realise that freelancer’s availability and their demand will not always coincide, but when they do, and where they have a relationship and can share more about the way they work and their organisation’s values, it will help them continue to deliver exceptional service to their clients.

Hawtrey Dene specialise in helping clients deliver business-driven change, through streamlined and innovative procurement. Delivering dynamic and sustained performance and process improvements, which unlock financial savings and operational efficiencies. Their greatest strength is their people; all of their clients are unique and by taking the time to understand their needs and engage with their internal and external stakeholders, they deliver cost reductions, improved efficiency and other benefits more quickly and more sustainably.

  • The sectors they work in cover politics, retail, civil engineering, luxury goods and services and manufacturing
  • Working on categories from coffins to catering, plant hire to petrol, they engage up and down a client’s supply chain to identify and capture improvements in cost and processes
  • Projects can last from six weeks to four years and counting, with a typical engagement being 3-9 months
  • They’re looking to meet individuals with broad category experience, as well as sector specialists
  • As they continue to grow, there will be opportunities, if desired, for individuals to join the team on a more formal or longer term basis
  • Projects are delivered globally with clients including: The Conservative Party, Mothercare, Christies, The Southern Co-operative, Cath Kidston, Blue Inc. and Clancy Docwra.

If you’d like to meet and find out more about them, the Board and most of the team will be around on 11th February to meet you and talk about what makes us tick. Please email sean@hawtreydene.com and attach a CV or covering note with some details of your background. They will get back to you and let you know where they're meeting – they look forward to seeing you.
