Avetta To Lead Discussion At World Procurement Congress & Present Supply Chain Initiative Award

Avetta (formerly PICS), the global leader in supply chain risk management solutions, has confirmed its participation and sponsorship for events to take place at the World Procurement Congress with Procurement Leaders at the InterContinental London from May 17-18, 2016.

Avetta’s Regional Vice President, Rhys Bush, will lead a roundtable discussion on Global Procurement: Managing Supply Chain Risk in a Volatile World- Improving Management of Global Procurement Teams on Tuesday, May 17 at 3:10pm. Facilitators for this roundtable discussion will include representatives from HSBC, Primark, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, University of Bath, Moller-Maersk, and Cancer Research.

Avetta will also be presenting the Supply Chain Initiative Award at the World Procurement Awards Ceremony on May 18. This award will be presented to the initiative that has positively impacted the performance of an organisation’s supply chain. This could be a specific project or a longer-term programme, which achieved significant results.

Judges will be looking for specific examples of excellence in demand forecasting, logistics, CSR, supply chain risk, on-time-delivery, among others, and the impact these have had on the wider business.
