Are you an experienced Procurement professional with a desire to work with a Global Not for Profit organisation?

Would you like to work in a challenging role for an international charity impacting lives all over the world?
As the Head of Programme Procurement you will be leading a team of 5 which is responsible for the effective delivery of procurement services, obtaining products that work within compliance of regulations and requirements. You will provide and ensure an ethical supply chain across the business, with the opportunity to travel across the world. 

You will be responsible for: 

• Ensuring effective and compliant execution of programme procurement activities internally and externally, this will include 
a. Overseeing procurement transactions by the team and ensuring the framework and processs has been followed 
b. Produce regular management reports on the performance of suppliers and procurement
c. Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the procurement framework and policies are up to date 
d. Establish strong working relationships with other head of departments
e. Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Providing effective day to day leadership of the team
• Lead on recruitment of new team members and ensure new staff receive inductions
• Support the wider organisation planning processes and take the lead in procurement planning
• Ensure compliance and regulations are met, and to provide an ethical supply chain
• Represent the charity globally
• Lead continuous improvement 

You will have:

• CIPS and Degree would be desirable
• Experience managing various aspects of supply chain operations 
• Working within a regulated environment. Previous experience in pharmaceuticals would also be a plus
• Experience with leading tender processes, multi million pound contract negotiations with suppliers
• Strong project management experience 
• Extensive experience in supply chain, having operated at a strategic level with a strong track record of deliverables 
• Strong leadership and management skills 
• Proactive and solutions driven 
• Seeking continuous improvement within own and teams performance
• Ability to make important decisions and work to tight deadlines. Ability to work in a changing environment, adaptable nature 
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed to support programme implementation
• Fluency in French would be a plus
